A Ghost Story for Christmas
Saturday 11 December 2010, 8pm
Created especially for the Howard Assembly Room by the singer and musician Matt Sharp, a unique Christmas treat with the Chorus of Opera North. A woven tapestry of strange tales, shadows and eerie music. Expect to hear the cries of lost children and the torments of vengeful spirits in stories from great writers such as Poe, Dickens and H.P. Lovecraft. Set against beautiful and unearthly songs from a range of operas, including Verdi’s Macbeth and Wagner’s Flying Dutchman, this is a one-off performance, magical, transporting and wholly original.
Suitable for children aged 11+
Tickets: £10
