Chumbawamba
Saturday 20 March, 7.45pm
Chumbawamba is an English band, whose music spans from pop influenced dance music to folk. They are also strongly influenced by politics and their first recording was made in 1984 for a minor’s strike benefit concert.
They visit the Howard Assembly Room to celebrate their new album ABCDEFG, which covers such topics as the wearing of ipods in public places and the power of the human voice. They will be joined by O’Hooley & Tidow who will share their wryly observations of life, accompanied by stark and beautiful piano playing by Belinda O’Hooley.
