Heritage Open Day
14 September 2008 - 14 September 2008
Sunday 14 September
Come and explore this beautiful Grade ll* listed Victorian performance venue in the heart of Leeds from 10.30am to 4pm.
Join one of our backstage tours to learn about life as a Victorian theatre-goer, find out what happens on the fly floor, have a go at lighting the stage, tread the boards and enjoy your moment of fame! Talks, performances and workshops from companies including Opera North, Northern Ballet Theatre and LAOS (The Musical Theatre Company) will take place throughout the day. It's the perfect day out for the whole family with arts and crafts activities, treasure trails, face painting and refreshments available.
There will also be a unique oppertunity to record your memories about the theatre, helping us to create an online archive of oral histories, ensuring that your stories are shared with generations to come.
