The Howard Assembly Room welcomes two of the world’s most in-demand recitalists to perform a special programme of sensuous and powerful song, including Schubert’s Gretchen am Spinnrade, Ravel’s Chanson de la mariée and Strauss’s Hochzeitlich Leid.
Celebrated soprano, Kate Royal has sung Pamina for Glyndebourne Festival and Miranda in The Tempest for the Royal Opera House.
Malcome Martineau is recognised as one of the leading accompanists of his generation and has worked with many of the world’s greatest singers including Sir Thomas Allen, Dame Janet Baker and Simon Keenlyside.
