ACCESS INFORMATION

Access Information

There is lift access to most of the auditorium (excluding the Upper Balcony) from the foyer and a wheelchair access lift to the foyer from the Box Office. Please note that some areas of the auditorium do have steep stairs and may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. We recommend checking with the Box Office before purchasing a ticket if you have concerns.

The theatre has spaces for wheelchair users. Accesible toilets are located in the Stalls and Dress Circle. Please contact Box Office if you wish to book these.

Facilities and Performances for Visually Impaired, Deaf and Hearing Impaired patrons  An infra-red system is in operation in the auditorium for Deaf and hearing impaired patrons. Head sets are available from the Kiosk in the main foyer for a £5 refundable deposit. Please contact Box Office for information on the best seats for this facility.

Guide Dogs are welcome and a bowl of water can be provided on request.

Access Membership Scheme

The Grand Theatre is committed to ensuring all customers can participate in and enjoy its performances. Under the Equalities Act we recognise our responsibilities to undertake reasonable adjustments to the services we deliver; this new scheme is for customers who have specific access requirements. By signing up to the scheme, our staff will be more aware of your needs and preferences when booking and be able to advise on the best available seats for you. You will also be able to book a wheelchair space and tickets for yourself and an essential companion online.
We also wanted to let you know that we now have a local number for you to call if you wish to book tickets (for access and essential companion tickets only) which is 0113 205 3899.

If you join the scheme, you will be invited to visit the venue and familiarise yourself with the location of our services and facilities within. You can meet with a member of our team and discuss any specific needs you have, our evacuation procedures and anything else that may help you when you come to see a show.

If you require an essential companion when you attend the theatre to see a production, we request that person comes with you to the familiarisation visit and we ask that they be a minimum of 14 years of age. You are of course welcome to bring somebody with you regardless.

Should you wish to join the Access Membership Scheme please complete the form below and return to us along with a copy of your proof of eligibility*. Once we have received your application, a member of our Duty Management team will be in touch to arrange your familiarisation visit.
