From its opening night in 1878 with a performance of Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ right through to its vast selection of productions today (putting on around 280 performances a year), Leeds Grand Theatre is steeped in theatrical history.

Come and see how the building has benefited from its 2005 restoration whilst retaining its original feel and beautiful features. The Grand has played host to some of the best-loved stars in theatre, comedy and music over the years and there are many stories that give the Theatre its quirks and character.

This is a fantastic chance to see what goes on behind the scenes, to get a deeper insight into the world of theatre and soak up its historic atmosphere.

Did you know? The Grand Theatre remained open through both World Wars and its cellars were used as air raid shelters in WW2.
